Do you know how to distinguish the quality of heat transfer paper?

  1. Smoothness of printing:

Printing smoothness includes paper feeding and printing performance. When users choose sublimation heat transfer paper, they should first ask the supplier for a few meters of sublimation transfer paper. A wider format makes it easier to identify the quality.

       (1) Paper appearance: First of all, pay attention to the importance of the paper roll, the unwinding and rewinding are smooth, the paper is not skewed, the paper edge is not curled, and there is no wrinkles and stains.

       (2) Print clarity: Print test patterns in high-precision mode. Requirements: ①The lines should be clear and not split; ②The edges of the lines have no obvious burrs; ③There is no blur between the lines.

Note to users and friends: Drying speed, printing clarity and transfer rate are contradictory to each other. Don't be too demanding on the drying speed. Just make sure that the ink does not stick to the back of the paper while printing and rewinding. Therefore, you have to consider the key points of the transfer paper selection: ① will not wipe the nozzle; ② the color is uniform and delicate without penetrating; ③ can meet the drying speed of automatic printing.

       (3) Print flatness, uniformity and drying speed: Print black 1 meter long color blocks with 720×720dpi, 260% ink volume. Requirements: ①The wrinkle height of printing is small (do not rub the nozzle and leave a safe distance); ②There is no white dot or obvious white dot on the surface of the color block; ③There is no black dot penetrating through the ink on the back of the color block (no pass-through) ④ Touch the newly printed color block with your fingers to be non-sticky, and the drying time is no more than 9 minutes (this is the standard for ordinary quick-drying paper, and no more than 90 seconds for quick-drying paper.). When printing large-area color blocks, pay attention to the humidity of your printing environment. Generally, the printing room should have temperature and humidity control, and the humidity should be controlled at 40-70%. If your printing room does not have humidity control, you do not even know the print test When the humidity is high, the thermal transfer paper roll should be peeled off the plastic bag for 1 day before the printing test, and the thermal transfer paper should be matched with the humidity of the environment before printing on the machine. Otherwise, when the paper roll is unpacked, it will quickly absorb the humidity and deformation of the environment. Coupled with the wet printing of the water-based ink, the fibers in the paper will quickly expand and be severely arched and rubbed against the nozzle.

Another situation is that the heat transfer paper is extremely dry (for example, the humidity is lower than 30%), and the sudden absorption of a large amount of ink can also cause severe buckling.

The better the quality of the sublimation transfer paper, the smaller the arching height. This is because the thermal transfer paper with small arching is made of wood pulp with slow growth and high price, so the deformation is small. In addition, the paper machine speed is slow In order to make the paper less deformed (lower production efficiency), these two factors make the price of heat transfer paper with small arching higher. So when you do not print heavy ink color blocks, but only print fancy patterns or light-colored patterns with a small amount of ink, you can also buy lower-priced transfer paper.
