Cat6 and Cat7 are the two most common Ethernet cable options used in networks today, although Cat7 cables are somewhat rarer.

The lifespan of the two different cable types is also different. The average service life of Cat6 is about 10 years, while the service life of Cat7 cable is about 15 years.
The shielding of each twisted pair used in Cat7 cabling makes a huge difference in household data and is the biggest improvement between Cat6a and Cat7. It eliminates crosstalk and helps you get higher standard data speeds at home. This new technology may cost more, but the difference in bandwidth will be noticeable in your home.
