Will the screen printing ink wash off?
If a garment is screen printed correctly by a trained professional using heat-treated washable ink, the design will not be washed off. To ensure that the color fastness is complete, Stenter needs to ensure that the ink is set according to the manufacturer's guidelines. The correct drying temperature and time vary with the type of ink and the fabric used, so if the printer wants to make durable washable items, you need to follow the instructions strictly.
What is the difference between screen printing and digital printing?
Direct-to-garment (DTG) digital printing uses specialized fabric printers—somewhat like inkjet computer printers—to transfer images directly to textiles. It is different from screen printing because the digital printing machine is used to transfer the design directly to the fabric. Since there is no template, multiple colors can be applied at the same time instead of in separate layers, which means this technique is often used to print complex or colorful designs.
Unlike screen printing, very few settings are required, which means that digital printing is a more cost-effective option for printing small batches of clothing or single items. Because it uses computer images instead of templates, it is ideal for making photography or highly detailed designs. However, because the color is printed using CMYK-style color dots instead of solid ink blocks, it cannot provide exactly the same color intensity as screen printing. You also cannot use Flat Screen Printer to create texture effects.
