Patch 0.2.0 introduces significant nerfs to some of the most overpowered builds in Path of Exile 2, particularly adjusting or severely weakening the effects of certain unique items. This will affect both Standard and Dawn of the Hunt leagues, though existing players who already own these items can continue using them as they are.

If you’ve spent hundreds of hours in Standard League developing a character around powerful, overpowered items, you might prefer to stay there, as those items remain unchanged for your current build. However, any new drops of these items, including in Dawn of the Hunt, will reflect the nerfed versions, so if you’re looking to experience the new balance in a fresh league, starting anew might be worth it.
