The screw design of the rubber extruder should be selected according to the type of product and the requirements of the equipment. For example, in the production of rubber sealing strips, a vented rubber extruder is required for extrusion production, but we usually use a pin-type rubber extruder when producing rubber pipes. The design of the screw barrel and screw of the vented rubber extruder should take into account the location of the vent hole and the length of the screw when the equipment compresses and mixes the raw materials. Therefore, the screw length to diameter ratio of the vented rubber extruder is relatively large, and the screw length is longer. The pin-type rubber extruder is full of pins in the barrel, which can increase the strength of rubber mixing and speed up the processing time of rubber. Therefore, the screw of the pin type rubber extruder is shorter than the vent type rubber extruder. In addition, different types of rubber have different requirements for equipment configuration. Silicone rubber is relatively soft and easy to mix, so the length of the screw of the general silicone rubber extruder is much shorter than that of the EPDM rubber extruder. In addition to the screw length of the rubber extruder, the thread structure and thread depth design of the equipment need to be selected according to the rubber. Therefore, before we choose a rubber extruder for production, we must carry out a rubber extruder suitable for rubber extrusion production according to the type of rubber.
