Overload capacity
One of the most common causes of damage to the weighing transducer is the overload of the scale.
The scale is rated according to the bearing capacity of its weighing transducer. Exceeding this limit can cause severe deformation of the load cell itself, which may have any effect, from reducing accuracy to making it completely inoperable.
It is very important to keep the weighing transducer in the weighing system within the allowable range of the rated weight. Scale overload is easily one of the most common reasons why our scale maintenance technicians are called to the scene.
Moisture damage
Moisture can cause serious damage to the electronic components of the weighing transducer and cause corrosion, thereby affecting the structure and integrity of the load cell body and the rest of the scale system.
In California, certain areas of our state are more prone to infiltration of moisture than others. But even in drier areas, if you are not prepared, it is easy to get damp.
Always check for moisture accumulation in and around the scale system. This is especially important for older systems, because over time, due to warping and general wear and tear, the older the scale, the easier it is for water to penetrate the system.
a column load cell is also our product, welcome to consult and purchase.
