The common characteristics of the drill bits of these shapes are: the thickness of the drill bit body is large, the drilling is relatively round, it is not easy to stick, the force of the drill blade is in good condition, and the disadvantage is that it is difficult to manufacture and repair.
 
The straight bit is simple to manufacture and grind. It is suitable for drilling medium-hard and medium-hard rocks. However, in ore rocks with well-developed joints and fissures and greater toughness, the sticking effect is likely to be poor. There are two types of in-line drill bits, hollow and solid, in brittle rock, the drilling efficiency of the hollow in-line drill bit is higher than that of the entire in-line drill bit.
 
Cross Rock Button Bits drill bits are more complicated to manufacture and grind than flat bits, and the consumption of cemented carbide chips is also higher. It is suitable for heavy-duty rock drills to drill hard rocks, especially in rocks with developed joints and fissures, which are not easy to stick.
The column tooth bit and the cemented carbide sheet are at an angle of 105° and 75°. It can ensure the roundness of the drilled hole, but it is difficult to manufacture. It is mainly used for large-diameter, medium- and deep-hole drilling.
