December is here! To celebrate, we prepared some delicious crispy cakes! We turned it into leaves, which brought us a winter twist, this is a classic family favorite dish! In addition, we also put our skewers on wooden skewers, so they have doubled, as a portable popsicle that can be carried with you when walking in winter-wooden crafts wholesale. Here is how to make your own:

  110g chocolate beaten into squares

  50g unsalted butter, diced

  50 g golden syrup

75g breakfast cereal (we used iron rings and rice)

Add the chocolate, butter and Lyle's golden syrup to a heatproof bowl and boil in a pan for about 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat, and gently stir the cereals until they are completely covered with chocolate.

Pour the mixture into a lined baking dish and let it cool in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

After setting, carefully transfer to a clean surface, and then carefully cut out the leaf shape from it. You should be able to get at least 4 crispy cake leaves from the mixture.

To make our leaves more "leaf-like", just like we use black frosting to create veins on the leaves.

For more leaf shape inspiration, check out last week's blog post in Thanksgiving Crafts, which provides free leaf templates. It is also a lot of inspiration, and you can take this toy with you during winter walks!
