- As long as the structural components still fit the weight, you can adjust the installation to suit the requirements of the site. You can criss-cross the escalator or leave it as is. You can make these adjustments at will.
- The installation and assembly time is also very fast (ranging from a few days to two weeks for complete assembly). The escalator can be assembled off-site and then dropped into place by a fully assembled crane. In the case of existing buildings without crane access, the escalators can be rolled into place and installed. Armrests are for assembly only. We can also ship the escalator in two parts and then assemble it on-site while it falls into place.
But a possible consequence of using this method is that the cladding around the escalator needs to be removed (drywall, sprinklers, etc...) So you need to remove what needs to be reinstalled after the escalator is replaced. In some cases where heavy tiles are installed, this can be very expensive. During this work, the floor tiles will be damaged and need to be repaired. Remove or remove and replace doorways, windows, and other structures in the escalator's path from the flatbed truck to the escalator pit. In addition, lifting points are required to assist in the installation of the escalator. This means that there is also a need for structural review, repair work, etc... In some cases, the owner needs to protect and provide lifting points. Structural elements adjusted to support longer escalators (due to new regulations requiring two flat steps, bottom pits sometimes need to be changed to allow longer pits).
All in all, rebuilding is more expensive and takes time to complete the owner's work, depending on the situation.
