China die casting factory will start relatively late, but it is constantly improving. Today, let’s talk about die casting.
Due to the different die-casting alloys, die-casting machines can be divided into two categories, namely cold-chamber machines and hot-chamber machines. The cold chamber machine is suitable for the die-casting of high-temperature alloys such as copper, magnesium, aluminum, and the hot chamber machine is used for the die-casting of low-temperature alloys such as zinc, tin, and lead. Zinc alloy can be die-cast not only by hot chamber machine but also by cold chamber machine. Why not use hot-chamber die-casting for high-temperature alloys? The plunger of a hot-chamber machine is immersed in the melting pot of the machine. The iron element of the plunger will contaminate the alloy composition. Therefore, high-temperature alloys are all die-casted with a cold-chamber machine.
Die-casting mold is one of the three major elements of die-casting production. A mold with a correct and reasonable structure is a prerequisite for the smooth progress of die-casting production and plays an important role in ensuring the quality of castings. For aluminum die casting to have good product quality, then the die casting mold must pass the test.
