Stainless Steel Composite Panel is a structural material and a functional material, which has both multi-layer functionality and base layer strength and toughness combination performance. So how is the Stainless Steel Composite Panel produced? There are two main methods for the industrial production of the Stainless Steel Composite Panel, explosive composite, and hot-rolled composite. Today we are talking about explosive composite panels.
The production process of the explosive clad plate is to overlap the stainless steel plate on the carbon steel substrate, and the stainless steel plate and the carbon steel substrate are separated by a certain distance with a cushion. Explosives are spread flat on the stainless steel plate. The energy of the explosive explosion causes the stainless steel plate to hit the carbon steel substrate at high speed, generating high temperature and high pressure to realize solid-phase welding at the interface of the two materials. Ideally, the shear strength per square millimeter of the interface can reach 400 MPa.
However, there are many types of composite panels, and the requirements for composite panels used in different places are also different. Some projects require the use of Stainless Steel Composite Panels, and some countries require all Fire-resistant Aluminum Composite Panel to be used.
