The purity of nuclear-grade graphite is 99.5%. A higher carbon percentage will make graphite more flexible. However, being flexible will bring brittleness. As a reinforcing material, various metal cores (fillers) can be inserted into graphite to enhance strength, stability, and ease of handling. We provide homogeneous graphite in sheet or coil, stainless steel Gangtang graphite sheet, stainless aluminum foil graphite sheet, wire mesh graphite sheet, tin-plated carbon steel stainless graphite sheet. Graphite gasket material insert
Homogeneous rolls or sheets do not contain any fibers, binders, or additives. This makes it very suitable for any flange surface defects under relatively low pressure sealing conditions. Usually used for metal jacketed gaskets, heat exchanger gaskets, and corrugated metal gaskets. The carbon content of the graphite material is 98.2%
Stainless steel Tang inserts graphite with 316SS reinforced. It is the ideal material for most industrial fluid sealing applications.
Stainless steel foil insert graphite has the same performance and application purpose as Tang reinforced material. This is the most commonly used graphite gasket material and contains .002 inch stainless steel foil.
The carbon content of the graphite inserted into the screen is 98%.
It is recommended to use tinned carbon steel Tang insert graphite for automotive and other combustion engine applications or similar sealing conditions. It is commonly used for cylinder head gaskets and exhaust gaskets.
