If you have ever wrapped a wire yourself, you already know how annoying the wrapping of wires can be sometimes. Not only do you need a number of accessories to complete and test the winding, winding a really good coil sometimes takes a lot of practice. Today we would like to introduce you to a practical alternative that not only saves you time but also nerves: ready-made windings.
Important terms and differences in finished windings
However, before we go into more detail on the topic, we would like to explain a few more terms and abbreviations if you are not familiar with them:
Single = coils with a single coil
Dual = coils with two coils
MTL = Mouth To Lung = When you first draw the vapor into your mouth and then inhale it
RDA = Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer = dripping atomizer
RTA = Rebuildable Tank Atomizer = evaporator with liquid tank
Ni80 or NiChr80 = NiChrome, wires made of 80% nickel and 20% chrome
SS316 = Stainless Steel Wires
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NICHROME AND STAINLESS STEEL COILS
NiChrome coils have been part of TPD vapes since the beginning and are the traditional vape wire. Due to the low resistance, more turns can be incorporated into the winding, which means that more contact area is gained for better liquid evaporation. The special advantage of NiChrome coils is their good response. Ni80 windings react much faster, which means they heat up faster. Windings with NiChr wire can only be used in Watt mode.
A relatively low resistance can also be achieved with stainless steel windings. With stainless steel wires, however, the ohm resistance increases during heating, giving you a variable vaping experience. Stainless steel coils are best used in watt mode, but good results can also be achieved in temperature mode.
KANTHAL COILS
In addition to the materials already presented, there are also coils made of Kanthal, an alloy of iron, chrome and aluminum. Kanthal has a higher resistance than NiChrome with the same wire thickness, which means that smaller coils are possible with Kanthal. Kanhal can also withstand higher temperatures and is therefore more durable. Kanthal coils should only be used in wattage mode.

NI80 - SWEEP COILS
Resistance: 0.24 ohms | Suitable for: RDA
The sweep coils have three core wires that heat up each other in a very short time. Due to the large contact surface, the rapid heating and the material properties of the wires, the Sweep Coils are ideal for producing large clouds.
NI80 - MTL CLAPTON
Resistance: 1.46 ohms | Suitable for: MTL RTA & RDA
The MTL Claptons are ideal for all vapes with tank and drip evaporators. With the Clapton coils, a core wire is encased by finer wires, which avoids liquid splashes when vaping.
NI80 - PARALLEL FUSED CLAPTON
Resistance: 0.3 ohms | Suitable for: Single & Dual RDA; Single RTA
With the Parallel Fused Clapton Coils, not one but several core wires are laid in parallel and then tightly wrapped with thinner wires. This finished coil offers equally good flavor and vapor development.
NI80 - STAGGERED FUSED CLAPTON
Resistance: 0.35 ohms | Suitable for: Single & Dual RTA; Dual RDA
With these coils, the focus is entirely on taste. The strong taste development results from the fact that the contact surface of the wires is not even. As a result, your liquid has a much better grip on the coil and develops a strong taste due to the rapid evaporation.
SS316L-CLAPTON
Resistance: 0.48 ohms | Suitable for: Single & Dual RTA
The claptons made of stainless steel offer you a particularly strong taste experience. As with the MTL Claptons, the special winding technique of finer wires around a core wire avoids liquid splashes.
SS316L - ALIEN
Resistance: 0.3 ohms | Suitable for: Single & Dual RTA
With the Alien Coils made of stainless steel, the slower cooling of the wires is a major advantage. This makes the Alien ready-made windings particularly suitable for so-called chain hitting or chain vape oem, where you take several puffs in quick succession.
Finished coils: Simply plug in - put in the cotton and start vaping
After you have installed a finished coil in your atomizer - and tested it briefly - all that is missing is the cotton. Here, too, we have a special treat for you: our in-house cotton candy. The tasteless and absorbent cotton is the perfect addition to any finished coil, but of course also to your self-wound coils.
