- Durability
The metallic composition of stainless steel makes it highly impact-resistant. In a laboratory, there is often a lot of movement of tools and equipment. While stainless steel can dent, it is difficult to pierce, so you don't need to worry about piercing clear coat finishes (wood) or peeling paint (metal).
