What is the difference between a Sealed AGM Battery and Sealed Gel Battery?

　　AGM (absorbent glass mat) is a specially designed glass mat used to absorb battery electrolytes between battery panels. The Sealed AGM Battery only contains enough liquid to keep the cushion wet by the electrolyte. If the Sealed AGM Battery is damaged, there will be no free liquid leakage.

　　The Sealed Gel Battery contains a silica gel in which the battery electrolyte is suspended. This thick paste material allows electrons to flow between the plates, but if the casing breaks, it will not leak into the gel battery.

　　Usually, Sealed AGM Battery is incorrectly identified as a Sealed Gel Battery. Both batteries have similar characteristics, such as no overflow, can be installed in any location, low self-discharge rate can be used safely in limited ventilation areas, and can be safely transported by air or ground without special handling.
