The "cold laminate film" can be made of PVC, polyester, polycarbonate, polyolefin or other substrates. These films use more aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesives, which are protected with a release liner before use. The cost of cold lamination film is usually higher than that of hot lamination film, but it can be coated with a lower cost and easy-to-operate non-heated laminator.

For smaller graphics such as yard signs, you can use a wide scraper from a sign supply company such as a sign warehouse to apply a pressure-sensitive laminate film. In order to protect the dye ink prints from moisture and moisture damage, it is best to "encapsulate" the prints between two laminate films that are slightly larger than the prints.
